During a time when things were difficult in my life, the advice I got and the planners I found said to take it day-by-day. Day-by-day felt dreadful to me! One more day to trudge through, with a to-do list 30 miles long. This method made me really hard on myself, and I started simply wishing the days away. My mother used to say, "Never wish time away." She's right! So I reversed the day-to-day idea. I want to value time. I want to get the most important things out of my head and written down. I want to remember to appreciate all that I have and all that I have accomplished. I don't want to wish away the day, I want to win the day!
